The past year saw implementation of several new rules that poorly impact ATVers. We seem to be a group that does not get riled and fight back, until it is too late.
However, there are two new rules that you need to be aware of:
1. E X H A U S T P I P E N O I S E
In 2004, new regulations regarding decibel limits were being enforced in state and national parks... also, PRIVATE riding areas!!!
2. Deep Cleated Mud Tires
We have heard of several riding areas that no longer accept ATVs with deep cleated mud tires. They say the reason is severe trail erosion caused by the tires.
The suggestion was made, that if you are unsure or going to ride in a new area, "Call, before you haul!" to avoid problems!

One of the first things we do when we get new tires, is to SLIME them... SLIME is a gunky green liquid (sold in Walmart and most quad shops) that not only protects your tires from going flat when puntured by thorns or small nails, but also balances the tires, as you ride! Take the little time needed to do this and you will really be doing yourself a favor!
